Summerville DREAM (Downtown Restoration Enhancement And Management) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and revitalizing historic downtown Summerville, South Carolina. It brings together small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community partners to enhance economic vitality, promote local commerce, and improve the overall quality of life in the community. 

Through collaborative efforts, DREAM supports “shop local” initiatives, organizes community events, and invests in beautification, marketing, and business development programs. Its work helps small businesses compete with large retailers while fostering a vibrant, connected downtown experience for residents and visitors. 

Operating in a Main Street-style model, the organization focuses on key areas such as economic development, community relationships, events and entertainment, placemaking, and outreach—ensuring sustainable growth while preserving Summerville’s historic character.
